MobyFox is a tech startup that focuses on combining the technology & data we get from wearables with the power of some of the world’s most beloved brands. Their flagship product – branded Apple Watch bands and related digital content – needed to ramp up sales quickly to meet holiday demand and meet investors’ expectations. Our relationship would need to be as agile as it was strategic to set this brand up on the right foot.
MobyFox had secured licenses from some of the most known franchises in the world. The audiences for each band were different, but all have one thing in common: they can see through inauthenticity from a mile away.
If we got anything wrong in the content, these fans would be ruthless, costing us credibility and sales. Plus, we were launching a premium-priced product in a space crowded by low-cost alternatives.
Our content needed to include the right keywords to help with organic rank, balanced with the nuance and detail that would prove to fans that we were one of them. No level of creative shapeshifting would matter without driving traffic. We used our extensive knowledge of Amazon’s algorithms and paid search platforms to launch these new products, targeting and optimizing for the right mix of core terms.
We were able to reach and engage fans who didn’t even know (yet) how much they needed our product – and ultimately convince them to purchase. Soon after launch, we earned organic rank on over 100 priority search terms, including high-volume, high-competition terms like ‘smartwatch bands’ and ‘apple bands’.
Our content also gained positive attention from Disney itself, who reached out to have us create content for the Official Star Wars Gifts storefront — helping MobyFox make a good impression on their larger partners.
We earned organic rank on more than 100 priority search terms, including high-volume, high-competition terms like “smartwatch bands” and “apple bands”. This exceeded both the number of terms we ranked for, and the time it took to get there. Next, we exceeded our ROAS goal by 2.5X. Average ROAS for paid search was over 10% – a testament to the quality of our content, high conversion rates, and effective paid search targeting. Lastly, we were able to block 90% of competitors from targeting ad placements on our product pages – instead defending the space by cross-promoting additional bands within the same franchise family – exceeding our goal of 80%.
Even as Amazon changed its policy on buyer-seller communication, by remaining in close contact as issues arise, we’ve been able to continue an extraordinary level of customer service – maintaining an average star rating of 4.6 stars.
“Amify continues to prove themselves on a daily basis, reinforcing our trust and cementing this relationship as one we’ll value for many successful years to come.”
